Au Pair for Italy 2022
We are seeking an Au Pair (of sorts) for two weeks in Italy June 25 through July 9.
I am renting a house for two months, inviting friends and relatives to join me at the house. For the final two weeks, my children and grandchildren will be joining me. The major reason we want an au pair is to have someone to watch the children, while the adults go out to dinner. There may be other times when we would like to leave some or all of the kids while we are touring.
The information about the house can be found here:
Au Pair Expectations
Over the two weeks, the au pair might have sole care of the children for as many as 8 evenings while the adults are out to dinner. On those evenings, we would usually have managed to feed the children before leaving (Italian dinner hour being late). The au pair would do their best to get the children moving toward bed, but no expectations of overcoming children who are too wound up to get to sleep.
At other times, the au pair should help to manage the children, but will not have primary responsibility. It is possible that once or twice, we might leave the children with the au pair at the house for a daytime excursion, but that will not be common.
The au pair is welcome to join us for as much or as little of our excursions and touring as they like.
The au pair should plan to be part of the family day-to-day dynamic, sharing in keeping the house orderly and clean, but without any specific housekeeping chores. The au pair will not be expected to do any cooking.
Living Arrangements
The au pair will have their own bedroom and share two bathrooms with the four adults and four children.
All meals will be provided, some at the house, others out.
There is a probability that we will travel away from the house for a few days. This will be a trip to the beach. The au pair is welcome to come with us or remain at the house as they prefer.

Here are the family members who will be in residence.
